Bangladesh issued a new banknote

Central Bank of Bangladesh is going to issue regular currency and a commemorative note of Taka 200 from March 18th, 2020. That day marks the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman-the father of the nation of Bangladesh.This new note will be available at all the branches of the bank. ‘Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Centenary 1920-2020’ will be printed on the upper side of the 200 Taka note while ‘Birth centenary’ on the left corner.
According to Bangladesh Bank, the commemorative note of 200 Taka is issued for the first time. It is issued with 100 Taka commemorative notes and 100 face value commemorative coins of Silver and gold.
