The dark blue on light blue underprint banknote of china was issued in 1953 by the Bank of China.The obverse of this note illustrates the legend’ People’s Bank of China’ is printed in mandarin script on the top panel. The image of an airplane is seen on left with the denomination in mandarin script on right. The control number in the roman is printed on the top right with the mandarin script on the bottom panel.
The reverse of this note depicts the coat of arms of China is depicted in the center with four different scripts printed around it. The denomination in the mandarin script is printed on both sides with the date in the center.
