The United States of America had issued this commemorative coin with the theme of Patricia Nixon in the year 2016. Patricia Nixon was the American educator and wife of Richard Nixon, the 37th President of the United States of America. She had also served her country as the First Lady of the United States of America from 1969-1974 and also the Second Lady of the United States of America from 1953 to 1961.

As the First Lady of the United States of America, she encouraged the spirit of volunteerism. She also gave her visit to Peru; one of the countries in South America when they affected by the earthquake. She also spent her time walking through debris and comforting survivors.

The obverse of this coin depicts the bust of Patricia Nixon and the reverse of this coin depicts design features stylized figures standing hand-in-hand surrounding a globe, symbolizing Mrs. Nixon's commitment to volunteerism around the world.
