One Sen Cherry blossom Stamp

This 1875 Cherry blossom one sen stamp is considered a classic rarity of Japan's postal history. There were two varieties of this stamp issued. The rare of the two features is the eighth syllabic character ‘Chi’ in the center.This cherry blossom brown is definitely one of the most important Japan’s philatelic beauties that appeared in the sale of Japanese philatelic at Dynasty Auction. This specimen was also the real gem of the Michael Ruggiero collection in Hong Kong in 2013. This specimen fetched around 22,248 US dollars in the auction.
