Today we are looking at a 500 Togrog or Tugrik banknote. The obverse has has the portrait of Genghis Khan; Soyombo - the national symbol of Mongolia; Paiza as a see-through feature; a tablet of authority for the Mongol officials and envoys, that enabled the Mongol nobles and officials to demand goods and services from civilian populations.

The reverse depicts the ox drawn Yurt with village at center right. This yellow-green note has the portrait of Genghis Khan as watermark.
