Lausanne itself is to become an Olympic city from 9th to 22nd January 2020. It will b host third Winter Youth, the second-biggest winter multisport event. To mark this epic occasion Swiss post released a special Lausanne 2020 stamp.

The competition in 16 disciplines will happen in different cities of Switzerland and France but the main junction will be Lausanne. It the place where award and closing ceremonies will be held. The stamp dedicated to this winter Olympics is designed by Aurel Marki in blue and pink depicting the Olympic village of Lausanne where 1,700 athletes and accompany personas will live under the same roof.
