2019-11-05 Tue
Among the 430 parcels in the Stack's Bowers Galleries' United States money sell off in Baltimore on Nov. 14, the Friedberg 150 Series of 1863 of $50 note was the highly evaluated. It was from the accumulation of Joel R. Anderson. This model sold for $204,000 in the March 2018 session of the Anderson barters, a value that the salesperson calls "an extraordinary worth," taking into account that it sold for $253,000 in 2011. Similar to all the Anderson notes, it was evaluated by PCGS Currency, who called it About New 50, Premium Paper Quality. Stack's Bowers is presently assessing it at $200,000 to $300,000.
The Track and Price enumeration list 11 known, however one of those was seen just once, and that was on eBay in 2007 with an evaluation of Good 4 and a cost of $1,175; the presence of that model ought to be considered suspiciously.
