New Commemorative Coin on Mahatma Gandhi's 150th Anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released Rs.150 commemorative coins on 2nd October 2019 to celebrate the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary.The whole world is celebrating Gandhiji's 150th birth anniversary. On this occasion, several countries have issued many commemorative stamps featuring the life and story of Mahatma Gandhi. India too has issued a special commemorative coin as well as a stamp.
This pure silver coin with 999 fineness weighs 40 grams and comes with the denomination of Rupees 150. The coin on the obverse depicts the national emblem of India in the center flanked by the name of the country in Devanagari on the left and in roman on the right. The denomination value is at the bottom.
The reverse of the coin depicts the logo of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in the center. The inscription is depicted at the top which reads “150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi” in Roman and “Mahatma Gandhi ki 150 vi Jayanti in Devanagari with the years 1869 and 2019 below it.
