The start of the month of September has come with an amazing surprise to the young philatelist. The Portugal post has issued a set of 4 stamps on the theme of Harry Potter.

Ever since the launch of the first book in the year 1997, the magical world of harry potter has swept every child and adult book lover alike. The harry potter books, as well as the movies, has managed to dazzle the audience for more than two decades.

For today’s growing worldwide fan community, and for generations to come, the Wizarding World welcomes everyone to explore more of this magical universe — past, present, and future. It is this fantastic universe that CTT Correios de Portugal, in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products intends to celebrate with this philatelic issue.

The stamps were issued with the denominations of 0.70 Euros, 0.705Euros, 0.86 Euros, and 0.91 Euros featuring Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and the movie antagonist Lord Voldemort respectively. The stamps also depict their beloved pets: Hedwig, Crookshanks, Scabbers, and Nagini.
