12th Annual Tucson Birthday Stamp Contest Winner

Winners of the 12th Annual Tucson Birthday Stamp Design contest for kids will be announced and awarded on 20th August at the Postal History Foundation Slusser Library, 920 N. 1st Ave., Tucson AZ 85719. The winning design would be featured on customised US postage stamps. A design contest is organised annually for kids by the Postal History Foundation to celebrate Tucson’s birthday. Prizes are handed over to five winners from each age-group. Ribbons, certificates, gifts from Bookmans and many other prizes would be handed out. The final winner would also be given a sheet of USPS custom postage stamps depicting his/her design.

Stamps and collectable envelopes will be sold at the Postal History Foundation for the next six months. The money collected through the sale would be donated to Youth Education via Stamps YES department which supports more than 13,000 schoolchildren annually in the classroom.

The deadline for the entries was 26th July 2019. Participants were asked to download the entry form on the Postal History Foundation website or visit the museum to make a painting that highlights the essence of Tucson, using the supplies that were provided. Entry was free and the age group for the contest was 5 to 7 years.
