Farmer in Karnataka Fooled with a Photo Copied 2000 Rupees Note

2016-11-14 Mon

Just a few days after the Government released new 2000 rupees notes, a farmer was fooled by one of his customers with a fake 2000 rupees note while selling onions in a market in Karnataka’s Chikkamagaluru district. He realised that the note was fake after he showed it to few of his friends.

The note apparently was a photocopy of the original note, as quoted by police officials. A complaint has been launched against the unidentified person under Section 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code.
