Gold 100 France fetches INR 100,000

On 20th July 2019 Todywalla conducts an auction in Mumbai. This auction consists few of the most sorted after specimen in the numismatic and philately world. One of the key specimens from this lot was the 100 Francs of Gold weight around 32.25g. This amazing gold coin was sold for INR 100,000.The obverse of this coin depicts a standing winged Genius writing the constitution with a rooster standing on left with ‘Republique Francaise’ above it within the toothed border. The reverse of this coin illustrates value and date within the circle of oak leaves with ‘Liberte Egalite fraternity’ around it within the toothed rim. The auction house also claims that this specimen is about extremely fine and rare.
