Uk’s unusual customs on Stamps

Eight bright stamps are issued by the Royal Mail to mark the most unusual annual custom. This interesting philatelic release celebrates the pride of often seemingly unusual customs that are carried out throughout the UK featuring an eclectic mix of well-known and not so well-known events that take place in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.The first stamp of this set is dedicated to Brighton folk festival, depicted lantern parade and beach bonfire. The second stamp illustrates the Padstow Obby Oss event that is featured on the second item involves two strange black beats called Osses swirling and swaying through the streets of Padstow.
The third stamp is devoted to World Gurning Championship. The fourth stamp features Up Helly Aa that is a famous fire festival which is now more than 100 years old.
The fifth item is celebrated the annual Cheese Rolling competition and the sixth one to the world-famous Halloween. The Horn Dane which is unique and ancient in Europe is depicted on the seventh stamp. The last and eight stamps illustrate Bog Snorkeling event was the first held in 1976.
