The United States of America had issued this commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of War in the Pacific National Historical Park in the year 2019. This national park is one of the most protected areas in the United States territory of Guam. The most unique thing about this national park is it offers honours the bravery and sacrifices of all those who participated in the Pacific Theatre.

The War in the Pacific National Historical Park Quarter dollar is the forty-eighth coin release of America the Beautiful Program. A total of fifty-six coins will be released as part of the program before it is completed in 2021.

The reverse of this coin depicts American forces coming ashore at Asan Bay, strengthening the number of troops on the island in the fight for Guam and its eventual liberation.
