On 11th June, Netherlands PostNL is going to release a pane of 10 se-tenant non-denominated stamps featuring butterflies and moths. It’s the 7th release from the Experience Nature series which was introduced last year. The stamps also feature the text “Nederland 1” which means they pay the domestic rate for letters that weigh up to 20 grams.
Photographs of the Alcon large blue, grizzled skipper, green hairstreak, small tortoiseshell, blood-vein, sooty copper, common blue butterfly, six-spot burnet moth, small emperor moth and nine-spotted moth are featured on the stamps. They are designed by Frank Janse and 315,000 panes of 10 se-tenant stamps were printed by offset by the security printer Joh. Enschede. It’s the 3rd issue of 2019 from the series.
