2019-05-17 Fri

Wyoming is one of the states of the United States of America situated in the western region of the country. Wyoming State is the 10th largest state by area and the second most sparsely populated state in the USA.

Two-third part of the state is covered by mountain ranges and rangelands of the Rocky Mountains on the western side. The state also has its high elevation prairie called as High Plains on the eastern side. Nearly half of the land of this state is owned by U.S government, leading Wyoming to rank sixth by area and fifth by proportion of a state's land owned by the federal government. The federal land of this state includes Grand Teton and Yellowstone.

The United States of America had issued this commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of the state of Wyoming in 2007. It was the fourth quarter dollar release in the year 2007 and the 44th quarter dollar release in 50 States Quarters Program. The reverse of this coin depicts the image of a bucking horse and rider.
