From 11th to 17th June, the China 2019 World Stamp Exhibition will be organised at the Wuhan International Expo Center, Yingwu Avenue, Wuhan, China. It is the only International Federation of Philately World Exhibition taking place in 2019. Out of the 3,500 frames that will be exhibited, 2,500 will be competing with each other while the remaining 1000 frames are non-competitive exhibits. Several postal administrations and stamp dealers will also be present at the event.
The exhibition will celebrate the 70th anniversary of People’s Republic of China, exchange Chinese and foreign philatelic culture, improve relations between China and other countries and develop postal and philatelic services.
Each day is dedicated to a certain subject like the Day of Opening, Day of One Belt One Road International Communication, Day of Jing Chu culture, Day of Youth Philately, Day of Members, Day of Military World Games, and Day of Closing.
On the Day of Military World Games, Chinese stamps celebrating the 7th International Military Sports Council (CISM) World Games will be released. The games will be held from 15th to 30th October, in which teams from all over the world will take part in 23 competitive sports like basketball, triathlon, cycling, swimming etc.
The official logo of this exhibition depicts an origami pigeon with perforated edges in front of Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan. Federation of Inter-Asian Philately, State Post Bureau of the People’s Republic of China, Wuhan Municipal People’s Government, China Post Group, All-China Philatelic Federation and Hubei Provincial Department of Transportation are coming together to organise this grand event.
