Vermont is the state situated in the New England region of the northeastern United States. The capital of this state is Montpelier. The State Vermont makes a border to Massachusetts to the south, New Hampshire to the east, New York to the west and Canadian province of Quebec to the north. Among the 50 states of the United States, state Vermont is second-smallest state by population and sixth smallest by its area.
