Marvel Superheroes Featured on Latest Royal Mail Stamps

The Royal Mail is going to release a special set of 15 postage stamps featuring famous Marvel superheroes on 14th March. Comic-book versions of many popular characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, and the dangerous villain Thanos have been shown on these stamps. Some of these characters belong to Britain like Captain Britain, Union Jack, and Peggy Carter.Designed by Alan Davis, ten 1st-class rate stamps will depict ten superheroes separately. Five other stamps form sections of a specially designed cartoon-strip titled Avengers UK, featuring all the superheroes. The cartoon shows Captain Britain taking help from other Super Heroes to defeat their dangerous opponent, Thanos.
The miniature sheet contains 10 comic-style panels, out of which, five are postage stamps. A £1.45 stamp features Captain Britain speaking to Nick Fury, the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. agency. The second stamp features Thor, Doctor Strange and Iron Man. The stamp on the first panel of the second row features Thanos while the stamp on the second panel on the second row features Iron Man, Black Panther, Spider-Man and Hulk. The final £1.25 stamp depicts Captain Britain surrounded by Iron Man, Hulk, Spider-Man, Thor and Black Panther. Captain America is not featured in this set while Nick Fury is shown in one miniature sheet panel, but not on any postage stamp.
Captain Marvel is the latest film in the Marvel Studios film series which was premiered on 8th March. The fourth film featuring Avengers called Avengers: Endgame was premiered on 26th April.
