The United States of America had issued this quarter dollar commemorative coin with the theme of Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial. This quarter dollar was issued in the year 2013. This quarter dollar is the second quarter dollar issued in the year 2013 and 17th quarter dollar issued overall in America Beautiful Quarter Dollar Program.

Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial is a memorial site in Ohio. It was established to honour all those who had fought in the Battle of Lake Erie during the War of 1812 and to celebrate the long-lasting peace among Britain, Canada and the U.S.

The reverse of this coin depicts a statue of Master Commandant Oliver Hazard Perry with the Peace Memorial located in the distance.
