The United States of America had issued this commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of Chaco Culture National Historical Park in the year 2012. This quarter dollar is the second coin issued in the year 2012 and the 12th overall in America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
The Chaco Cultural National Historical Park is located in New Mexico, between Albuquerque and Farmington. This National Park was the center of culture for Ancient Pueblo People. These sites are the part of the homeland of Pueblo Indian People of New Mexico, the Hopi Indians of Arizona and the Navajo Indians of the southwest.
The obverse of this coin depicts an image of George Washington. The reverse of this coin depicts the image of two elevated kivas that are part of the Chetro Ketl Complex.
