Chickasaw National Recreation Area is a National Recreation Area situated in the foothills of Arbuckle Mountains in south-central Oklahoma near Sulphur in Murray County.

Chickasaw National Recreation Area was established as Sulphur Springs Reservation on July 1, 1902. Later, it was renamed as re-designated as Platt National Park on 29th June 1906. This Area is combined with Arbuckle Recreation Area and additional lands. On 17th March 1979, this area was again renamed and re-designated as Chickasaw National Recreation Area.

Chickasaw National Recreation Area is the finest example of 1930’s Civilian Conservation Corps architecture. This area preserves partially forested hills of South-Central Oklahoma near Sulphur.

The United States of America had issued a Commemorative Quarter Dollar with the theme of Chickasaw National Recreation Area in the year 2011.
