Grand Canyon National Park Quarter Dollar

United States of America had issued this quarter dollar with the theme of Grand Canyon in the year 2010.The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in Arizona, United States. The Grand Canyon is around 446 km long and around 28 km wide; it has a depth of around 1857m. The Grand Canyon was first established as a national site on February 20, 1893.
This commemorative coin is a fourth coin issued in the year 2010 and overall it is a fourth coin issued in Americas Beautiful Quarter program. The obverse of these coin is inscribed with the image of George Washington; the first president of United States of America. The reverse of the coin is depicts the view of granaries of Nankoweap Delta in Marble Canyon near the Colorado River. In around 1050 CE and 1150 CE these granaries were used for storing food and seeds.
