First Airmail Stamps of Jordan

First Airmail stamps of Jordan were issued on 16th September 1950 to commemorate the beginning of Airmail service in the country.The stamps issued on the occasion came in a set of seven stamps. The stamps show a beautiful design of a typical Islamic Architectural style along with intricate carving design. A globe and a plane can be seen in the circle which signifies the Postage Service across the globe.
The central design of the globe and plane is between the Roman and Arabic inscriptions mentioning “Airmail Service”. The stamps are inscribed with “The Hashemite Kingdom of the Jordan” in both Roman and Arabic at the top and bottom.
