Vietnam Veterans Memorial Silver Dollar

The term Veterans refer to the armed force of South Vietnam, United Nations Armed force and the other countries that are allied to them whether or not they were stationed in Vietnam during their service. The United States of America had issued Vietnam Veterans Memorial Silver Dollar to pay tribute to the army forces who had participated in the Vietnam War. This silver dollar was issued in the year 1994 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam War. Vietnam War occurred on 8th July 1959 and this war was officially ended by Presidential Proclamation on May 7, 1975.

The obverse of this coin depicts the section of Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall; with an outstretched hand touching a name, and the National Monument and a tree in the background. Inscription ‘LIBERTY’ with the year 1994 is written at the top, inscription ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’ is written at the right side of the coin and ‘VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL’ is written at the bottom.

The reverse side of the coin depicts three medals awarded during the Vietnam War. The inscription ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’ and ‘E PLURIBUS UNUM’ is written at the top and inscription ‘ONE DOLLAR’ is written at the bottom.
