Commemorative Coin of Rs. 350 of Guru Gobind Singh Ji

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a commemorative coin of Rs. 350 to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The event that was held in New Delhi was attended by former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and other Sikh dignitaries.The Tenth Guru of Sikhs i.e. Guru Gobind Singh has been a source of inspiration for many through his teachings and ideals. Earlier the 350th birth anniversary celebrations of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji were attended by the PM in Patna on January 5, 2017, where he released a commemorative postage stamp to mark the occasion.
While addressing, the Prime Minister underlined how Guru Gobind Singh made a unique attempt to unite the country through the Khalsa sect and the Panch Pyaras belonged to different parts of India. He said that Guru Gobind Singh Ji has put knowledge at the core of his teachings. He added that the Commemorative Coin is a small effort on our part to show our respect and reverence to him.
