Tide has turned, Government of India is going to issued new twenty rupees coin. The old twenty rupees note will be replaced by the new octagonal 20Rs coin. Along with it, the government is also going to change the design of all the coins from denomination one rupee to 10 rupees.
According to the sources, all the prototype for the design is ready, the final decision will take place quite soon under the Coinage Act, 2011.
The coin as designed in a manner that visually impaired people can also identify these coins easily. There was also a piece of news about new twenty rupees banknote that was going to be issued by RBI, but the decision has been cancelled under the policies of Green India and paper saving.
Late time in 2011, Indian Securities Printing and Currency Creation Corporation limited issued new designed Indian coin from 50 paise to 10 rupees. This series is also called 2011 series was rupee symbol was added.
Again the re-evaluations in coin design will happen in 2019, wait for the exciting new change.
