This extremely rare Silver Pattern Rupee of William IV, minted in Calcutta in the year 1834 is listed for INR 6,50,000 in the upcoming online auction of Imperial Auction House which will be held on 20th January 2019 at 11.00 AM.The Obverse of this coin depicts the bust of William IV facing towards the right with the legend ‘WILLIAM IIII KING ‘around within wavy line. The reverse of the coin is inscribed as ‘ONE RUPEE 1834’ in the center with the lotus flower above; within a wreath of laurel; and the legend ‘EAST INDIA COMPANY’ written in Bengali, Persian, and Devnagari’. This coin is graded by NGC (Numismatic Guarantee Corporation) as PF 61.
