Wurttemberg's Silver Jubilee Stamps

Wurttemberg's ‘Silver Jubilee’ stamps were issued on 6th October 1916 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Reign of King Wilhelm II of Wurttemberg and are amongst the Official Wurttemberg stamps for use by the Communal Authorities.The communal official stamps were first issued in 1875. These communal or municipal official stamps were issued for use on official correspondence between municipal offices within the Kingdom.
The commemorative stamps shown above are part of the set of seven stamps issued to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Reign of King Wilhelm II of Wurttemberg. The stamps depict the coat of arms of Wurttemberg which shows a shield with a representation of stag horns in the middle and a crown at the top flanked by the years 1891 and 1916.
The stamp is inscribed with Wurttemberg between the value in the numeral on the top and word Bezirksmarke at the bottom. The stamps were issued with the denominations of 2½ German reichspfennig, 7½ German reichspfennig, 10 German reichspfennig, 15 German reichspfennig, 20 German reichspfennig, 25 German reichspfennig, 50 German reichspfennig.
