The latest 2019 edition of a book named Coins of England & the United Kingdom has been released. For the last 20 years, the book is being published by Spink. Before that, it was published by Seaby for many years. It is being currently distributed in the US by Coin & Currency Institute.The new edition is revised and updated. It is being published as a two-volume set. it’s the only catalogue that lists all main coin types from Celtic to the present day in chronological order. The coins mentioned in the books are further classified based on metals, coinages, denominations and varieties.
Decimal coinage and pre-decimal coinage of Elizabeth II are bifurcated. Decimal coinage introduced after 1968 are described in a different volume. The book also contains the latest market value of every coin in British pounds for three grades, tips for collectors, elaboration of numismatic terms, and history behind every coin. It is an ideal book to learn about Celtic coins, Roman, Anglo-Saxon and Norman coins, coins of Plantagenet kings, the Houses of Lancaster and York, the Tudors and Stuarts, modern milled coinage, introduced in 1561 during Elizabeth I’s times. The two-volume set can be purchased for $44.75 along with an additional fee for postage.
