The United States of America had issued this Girl Scouts Commemorative coin in the year 2013; to honour Girls Scout of USA and to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Girls Scouts.The Girls Scouts Organization was established in Juliette Gordon Low in Savannah, Georgia on, 12th March 1912. This organization is dedicated solely to girls, building character to girls and skills for success. Today, there are around 3.2 million members of Girls Scouts throughout the United States and its territories. Today, the members of Girls Scouts are the part of an International family of 10 girls and adults.
The obverse of this depicts three girls who represent different ages and diversity of Girls Scouts of the USA; with the inscription ‘COURAGE, CONFIDENCE, CHARACTER, above; the inscription ‘2013’ ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’ LIBERTY and the 100th-anniversary trefoil symbol is at the bottom. The reverse of the coin depicts iconic profiles of Girls Scouts with the inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA at the top and the inscription ‘E PLURIBUS UNUM’ Denomination ‘$ 1’ and GIRL SCOUTS’ written at the bottom.
