APMEX released the last coin of 2018 from Scottsdale Mint’s Biblical Series. The series comprises of coins celebrating stories from the Bible like the pale horse, the nativity, the three wise men and more. The sixth and final release of 2018 or the 24th release overall, is dedicated to Ascension of Christ.

Like all other coins in the series, the latest 2 oz coin is struck in .999 fine silver with an antique finish and a high-relief, rimless design. Illustrated by Gustave Dore, the reverse design shows Jesus departing from Earth to be with God in front of his disciples. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II along with other inscriptions highlighting weight, face value, and purity. The unique serial number from 1 to 1499 is engraved on the edge.

Each coin comes along with a certificate of authenticity which mentions the coin specifications; Acts 1:9-11 (NLT), used as an inspiration for designing the coin and an image of the original artwork. The coin is issued as legal tender for the island of Niue.
