Police Arrests Gambian For Selling Fake Currency

As per police reports, a Gambian named Jedam Alagai disguised himself as a trader from Africa allegedly photocopied currency notes in the denominations of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 and put them in a big suitcase. He approached a local shop in Bengaluru and informed the owner that he had black money worth Rs 10 crore and he did not know how to dispose it. He showed the shop owner fake notes and assured to give him Rs 10 lakhs.The shop owner quietly informed the police over phone who nabbed Alagai by posing as decoys. Alagai had come to India on a student visa six months ago and had allegedly cheated several others in the past.
