Delaware State Quarter Dollar

This Delaware state quarter coin is one of the first coins which was released in the 50 State Quarters program; it was released on 4th January; 1999. Delaware is one of the 50 States of the United States; situated in the Mid-Atlantic or North-eastern region. Delaware was admitted into the United States on 7th December 1787.

The obverse of this coin features the portrait of President William J. Clinton facing towards left with the inscription ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’ at the top; inscription ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’ at the right and ‘LIBERTY’ at the left side of the coin; denomination ‘QUARTER DOLLAR’ is written at the bottom. This reverse of this coin features the Caesar Rodney’s a historic horseback ride in 1776; with an inscription ‘DELAWARE’ and year ‘1787’ at the top; inscription ‘THE FIRST STATE’ is written on the right side of the coin and ‘CAESAR RODNEY’ is written on the left side of the coin and year ‘1999’ and ‘E PLURIBUS UNUM’ IS written at the bottom.
