Hyderabad Gold Mohur Listed For INR 2,20,000

This gold Ashrafi which was issued by Mir Usman Ali Khan from the Princely State Hyderabad in the first year of his reign during the Hijri year 1329 is listed for INR 2,20,000 in the upcoming auction of Classical Numismatic Gallery which will be held in Pune on 14th December 2018.Hyderabad was a Princely State located in the South-central region of India. It was ruled by Nizam of Hyderabad from 1724 till 1948. The region had also become the part of Mughal Empire in 1680.
The obverse of the coin is inscribed with the image of ‘Charminar’ with a short initial ‘Ain’ and Hijri Date 1329 and the regnal year '31'. The reverse of the coin depicts name, the title of the king.
