International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestine People is organized each year on November 29 to mark the anniversary of resolution 181 which is also known as the Partition Resolution. It was on 29th November 1947, the United Nations decided to partition Palestine.This day comes as a firm and constant commitment to support the struggle of the Palestinian people and their efforts to restore their full legitimate national rights. Global solidarity with the just Palestinian cause is based on the principles of justice, freedom, equal rights and dignity.
The resolution also encourages the Member States to continue to give the widest support and publicity to the observance of the Day of Solidarity.
India Postal Department has issued a special stamp on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestine People. The stamp designed by Badar Makhmoor shows the flags of India and Palestine Liberation Organization.
