Robert F. Kennedy was born on 20th November 1925, in Brookline, Massachusetts. He was an American politician and lawyer; he served his country as U.S attorney general from the year 1961 to 1964. He was appointed as attorney general when his brother John Kennedy was elected as President of U.S in the year 1960. He had worked very hard for the civil rights for African American when he was Attorney General of U.S. He was also committed advocate of poor and racial minorities, and also opposed the escalation of Vietnam War. On June 5, 1968, when he was doing campaigning for Democratic Presidential nomination in Los Angeles, he was shot by someone and he died very early at the age of 42.

The United States of America has issued his commemorative coin of One Dollar with his portrait on the obverse side of the coin.
