The Arab Reading Challenge and Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives are considered to be the largest cultural and knowledge initiative in the Arab world. A commemorative postage stamp was issued by Emirates Post to honour this event's success.
The Arab Reading Challenge was introduced in 2016 to promote the habit of reading among youngsters. The challenge has become a very popular knowledge activity today.
The integrated community activity engages students, schools, families and connects them to libraries and cultural institutions. The organisers believe that the valuable habit of reading can lead to the progress of society.
One of the stamp design features the logo of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives foundation and the other one depicts the logo of the Arab Reading Challenge. The three-dirham postage stamps will be released through post offices on 30th October.
