John Adams was born on 30th October; 1735. He was one of the founding father of United State and also a leader of American Revolution. He served his country as first vice-president and the second president of the United States from 1797 to 1801. He excelled as a lawyer and was the leader of American Independence from Great Britain. He was one of the earliest and most vocal advocates for the colonial Independence.United Nations had issued this one dollar commemorative coin to pay tribute to his work. The obverse of this coin depicts the bust of John Adams facing towards the right with the inscription ‘JOHN ADAMS’ at the top and ‘2nd SECOND PRESIDENT 1797-1801’. The reverse of the coin depicts the image of ‘Statue of Liberty’ with the denomination $1 and ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’ around.
