National Park Service (NPS) in an agency of United States Federal Government; it manages all the National Park, national monuments and other conservation and historical properties with various title designations. It was created by Congress through National Park Service Organic Act and was signed by President Woodrow Wilson on 25 August 1916.The National Park Service also includes monuments, battlefield, Military Parks, historical parks, historic sites, lakeshores, seashores, recreation areas, scenic rivers, and trails, as well as the White House.
The National Park Service works with the mission to preserve all the national and cultural resources and to value the National Park System for the enjoyment, educational and inspire the future generation.
The United State had issued commemorative coins with the theme of National Park Service. They have issued this coin 5, 1and half dollars. These coins were issued by them in the year 2016 on the occasion of completing 100 years of National Park Service
This silver one dollar depicts Yellowstone National Park's Old Faithful geyser and a bison on the obverse. Yellow Stone National Park which is the nation first national park, it was established by an act signed by president Ulysses. S. Grant on 1st Mach 1872. The reverse of the coin depicts Latina Folklorico dancer and the NPS logo, representing the multi-faceted cultural experience found in America's national parks.
