Nawanagar was one of the Princely States during British rule in India. Today Nawanagar is known as it is situated in Indian States of Gujarat; it is also known as Jamnagar. Nawanagar was founded by Sri Rawalji in the year 1540 CE. It was founded by Jadeja Dynasty from the year 1540 CE till 1948 CE. Nawanagar had signed the Instrument of Accession in 1948 CE after Indian Independence.This 3.2g gold half Kori which was issued by Jam Vibhaji was sold for INR 1,10,000 at Todywalla Auction. He issued this coin in the name of Gujarat Sultanate Muzaffar Shah III in the obverse. The reverse of the coin is inscribed with the mint name of ‘Sri Jamji’.
