A teacher plays an important role in an Individual's life. He is a person who helps us to acquire knowledge, competence and value. Parents give birth to the child, but a teacher is a person who shapes the character of the person and makes his future bright, therefore teacher is said to be greater than the parents. A teacher is a person who always thinks to help others; he understands the person very well and brings the best form to him. Every individual should respect his teacher and always be grateful towards him.

In India every year 5th September is celebrated as a Teacher’s Day, which is also the birthday of former President, teacher, educator, and scholar Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

Dr.Radhakrishnan used to love all his students. He was very wonderful, interactive and approachable for his students.

The government of India had issued this 10 Rupee commemorative coin on 4th September 2015 to remember the contribution of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
