Archeozoology discoveries on Israeli stamps

Two fascinating stamps are issued by the Israel Post on the theme of Archeozoology in Eretz that illustrates the remnants of some majestic animals like elephants and lioness. These stamps are design by Ronen Goldberg.These stamps depict the image of the animals as well as the images of their parts like elephant tusk and a lioness skull discovered by the archaeozoologist. Archaeozoology is the study of animals in archaeologically context; it mostly studies the remains of animals through bones, teeth, skin and etc.
The various excavations that took place in Eretz Isreal made may fascinating discovered in Archeozoology like the Syrian bear from the Bronze Age. The elephant discovered in 1960, its date to later Palaeolithic age.
