Antarctica’s 2 Dollars

2018-08-20 Mon

The Antarctic dollar, occasionally called the Antarctican dollar, is the national currency of the Federated States of Antarctica. At the present time, it is pegged to the United States Dollar. However, negotiations are being held within the GAMA to determine a universal value of currency within the Antarctic continent.

Antarctica Overseas Exchange Office or the Bank of Antarctica produces high quality collector's items in the appearance of national money for Antarctica and other regions of the planet. These bills are not legal tender money of Antarctica or anywhere else.

Today we are discussing a 2008 rendition of 1996 Antarctica 2 Dollars. The note specifications are as follows:

The obverse depicts the famous Emperor Penguins at Atka Bay and the reverse feature the Adelie Penguins on Paulet Islands. The emperor penguin is the tallest and heaviest of all living penguin species and is endemic to Antarctica. The Adelie penguin is a species of penguin common along the entire Antarctic coast, which is their only residence.

Cute, isn’t it?
