Russia had organised International Army Games from 28th July to 11th August where military forces from around the world displayed their warfare strength on land, sea and air. Tank biathlon, fighter jet manoeuvring, cooking food and racing service dogs were some of the contests that were a part of the games.
A circulating commemorative 25-ruble coin was released to mark the event. The obverse features state coat of arms of the Russian Federation, country name in Russian, the Bank of Russia, 24 Rubles and 2018. The reverse depicts an aircraft, a warship, a tank, the emblem of the International Army Games and a Russian inscription that translates to “International Army Games”. The 10 grams copper-nickel coin has a diameter of 27 millimetres and has a mintage of 500,000 pieces.
