Abdul Hayee, popularly known as Sahir Ludhianvi, was Indian poet and film lyricist who wrote in the Hindi and Urdu languages.Sahir Ludhianvi won a Film fare Award for Best Lyricist for Taj Mahal (1963), a second Film fare Award for Best Lyricist for his work on Kabhie Kabhie (1976) and he was awarded the Padma Shri in 1971.
The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee released a commemorative postage stamp depicting late Shri Sahir Ludhianvi on the occasion of his 92nd birth anniversary on March 8th, 2013 at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
