The U.S Mint released its first concave-convex coin on March 27th 2014, celebrating the National Baseball Hall of Fame and its 75th Anniversary. Collectors and Baseball lovers have 6 exciting options to choose from, like the $5 gold, $1 silver and 50c clad coins.

The well-thought baseball glove inscription featuring on the obverses are designed by Cassie McFarland. Other texts include ‘LIBERTY’, ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’, and ‘2014’. The concavity of the obverse beautifully complements the coin design featuring the baseball glove.

The common reverse design depicts a baseball similar to those used in Major League Baseball, designed by Don Everhart. Inscriptions include ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’, ‘E PLURIBUS UNUM’ and either ‘FIVE DOLLARS’, ‘ONE DOLLAR’ or ‘HALF DOLLAR’. Reverses are convex in shape.
