He sat on the Mughal throne in the year 1658 AD and ruled it until his death in 1707 AD. Aurangzeb ruled the Mughal Empire for almost half-century.
Aurangzeb issued this coin during the Hijri year 1106. The obverse of this coin is inscribed with the name and title of king as ‘Sika Zad Dar Jahan Chu Badr-e-Munir, Badshah Aurangzeb Alamgir with AH Date’. The reverse of the coin is inscribed as ‘Julus Formula, Sana RY, Mint name ‘Kanji’.
