Department of Posts, India and Russia Post are going to establish postal cooperation for releasing Joint Issues. Both countries have very strong bilateral relations in almost every area, as per an official statement.

The Union Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the release of joint stamps. The two postal departments would work towards mutually beneficial operational excellence in Postage Stamp releases as both countries have a broad understanding on issues of mutual interest.
