Summer Olympic Mascots Featured on Stamps

Brazil post issued a number of stamps commemorating the biggest sporting event. The 2016 Summer Olympic are the thirty-first Summer Olympic Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.Two pairs of se-tenant were issued featuring Olympic and Paralympic mascots Vinicius and Tom.
The mascot of the Olympic Games is Vinicius, who has been named in honour of the poet Vinicius de Moraes. Vinicius – the yellow cat reflects the energy of the Olympic Movement and the beauty of Rio de Janeiro.
The mascot of the Paralympic Games is Tom who is named after the great musician and composer Tom Jobim. Tom – the blue animal is shown playing a tambourine in one stamp and performing dance steps in another.
These cute stamps feature embossing drawings of the famous mascots of the event. Both se-tenant pairs feature a caption “Vinicius – Mascot of the 2016 Olympic Games” and “Tom – mascot of the Paralympic Games Rio 2016”.
